FIRST DAY OF EXTENDED SCHOOL SCHEDULE

Mashed potato bar: top with popcorn chicken or Salisbury steak, gravy, cheese & corn.  Homemade pasta salad, celery sticks, honey corn bread, garden variety and, fruit variety. Milk.

Tomorrow’s Breakfast:

Smoothie & Muffin or pancake & sausage bites

  • Today is the first day of extend school schedule.

  • Next Friday, March 22, is the American Red Cross Blood Drive here at JCC high school. Anyone 16 and older can donate (16 year olds do need parent permission. Stop in Mrs. T’s room for the permission slip) You can sign up to donate online or stop in Mrs. T’s room. Sign up before all of the slots are filled up
  • Credit recover classes will be offered at Red Rock Ridge in Windom Tuesday & Thursdays.Classes will be held for six weeks from 3:45 pm – 6:15 pm, April 2 through May 9th.Any questions see Mrs. Johnson.
  • Juniors will be taking the ACT on April 2nd during the school day.  You do not need to register for this, we will be doing it together during school.
  • Media Center Contest!Guess the JC Staff behind the book.The winning student gets a $5 gift card to DQ & bag of snacks.Contest ends March 20th.

     

  • Reminder: We have a closed campus during lunch hour.If you forgot your lunch, we serve meals in our Cafeteria.
  • Students who drive or ride with someone who drives, be organized and bring all your stuff into school (backpacks, sweatshirts, lunch/snacks, Chromebooks, writing utensils, headphones….). You will not be allowed to go out and retrieve forgotten items.

SENIOR INFORMATION:

  • All Seniors - Stop in the office to verify spelling of first, middle and last names
  • ACT Registration deadline is March 8th for the April 13th test date.

College Visits
Seniors, if you are interested in visiting with a College Representative, please sign up in the Counseling Office

 

  • Alexandria Tech will be here on Thursday, March 14th at 1:15 pm.
  • Check the Counseling Office and webpage for scholarship opportunities.

               

SPORTS & ACTIVITIES:

  • SPRINGS SPORTS ARE STARTING.GET YOUR PAPERWORK AND FEES SUBMITED.

 

          Reminders to students who participate in Athletics or Activities.

  • A student may not participate in any activity or program if he or she has an unexcused absence from any class during the day.
  • In order to attend, practice and/or participate in any school activity after school hours you must be PRESENT for periods 4 – 7.In order to participate in any game or activity, you must be present and not tardy for periods 1 – 7.
  • Students returning from late games and activities are expected to be in school the following day on time.

STUDENT REMINDERS:
Arriving Late / Leaving Early

  1. Students who arrive to school after 8:10 am or leave before 3:00 pm must enter and exit through the Main Office.
  2. You will need to use the Sign In/Sign Out sheets.Arriving late or leaving early requires a parent or guardian to call the Main Office to provide an excused absence.Students who do not use the Sign In/Sign Out sheets will be unexcused.If a parent or guardian do not contact the office of the absence it will be considered unexcused.Unexcused absences lead to truancy.Let’s not be truant.
  3. Athlete’s leaving early for events at other schools, your excused times are posted on the Activities Calendars and in the School Announcements.Leaving class before your excused time can lead to an unexcused absents and could prevent you from competing that day.
  4. Closed Campus
  5. Students are reminded they are to remain in the school building during school hours.This includes during LUNCH HOUR.No students are allowed to be in any personal vehicle at any time throughout the day.
  6. Nuisance Items
  7. If a student is in possession or using an electronic device or other nuisance item during class time without permission, the item will be confiscated and taken to the Main Office.The first time this happens, the student may pick up their item at the end of the school day.For EACH time after that, you will have to pay a fine to get your item out of impound.
